bio

Siân Burman is a full time landscape and seascape artist who also has an interest in figurative work. Her preferred medium is oil, but she also works in gouache, acrylic, and mixed media. Much of her art practice focuses on the use of colour and light within landscape painting and is influenced by the unique coastal environment of south-west Victoria, where she lives. Within landscape Sian is particularly influenced by the Australian environment and the escalating effects of climate change upon it, as depicted in her fire paintings. Siân has had several exhibitions and has works in private collections in Australia, the UK and the USA. She is happy to discuss commissions on request.
